DevOps Solution Lead / Architect (AWS) Primary Location : Plano, Texas V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a DevOps Solution Lead / Architect (AWS) for our premier client in Plano, Texas. Education and Experience » Must have : Bachelor’s degree Experience level : 5 to 10 years of experience. 5-10 years' experience in Information Technology, 2-3+ years in an Architecture environment Master in one of the SecDevOps practices - IaC-Terraform, Cloud-AWS, CICD-Git / Argo, microservices architecture deployment (primarily Kubernetes) with awareness about site reliability engineering principles, coupled with a willingness to learn and expand the knowledge. Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology. Experience with source control and continuous integration tools. Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Good experience with cloud services (AWS), cloud engineering, architecture, and software as a service. Hands-on experience in AWS Services - IAM, VPC, EKS, CloudFront, APIGW. Ability to work in fast paced teams with quick decision making. Scripting experience with Bash / Shell, Python. Experience in IaC - Terraform is a must have. CI (preferably Gitlab CI) and CD (preferably Argo CD). Kubernetes debugging experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities » Added bonus if you have (Preferred) : Expertise in additional AWS services like ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc., is a great asset. IaC: Terraform preferred, CloudFormation. CI & CD: GitLab preferred, also experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Argo CD, and Docker. Secrets Management: HCP Vault, AWS Secrets Manager. Networking: Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, NAT, Istio, Traefik, etc. Scripting: Python, GO, Bash / Shell, JavaScript, YAML, JSON. Build Tools: Maven, Gradle, NPM, Bazel, Go. Databases: RDS, SQL, MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB. Security Scans: SAST, Secrets, Container, DAST, etc. Logging and Monitoring: DataDog, Splunk, ELK, Grafana. Good knowledge of authentication / authorization standards, protocols, and frameworks such as OpenID, SAML, OAuth, JWT, CA, X.509, MTLS. WHAT YOU’LL DO : Job Responsibilities : Take ownership of assigned projects and tasks, ensuring delivery with quality and timeliness using Agile / JIRA practices. Partner with application teams as a trusted advisor to ensure compliance with organizational SecDevOps standards and best practices for deploying microservices in cloud environments. Guide technical leads in creating component and process flow diagrams, and assist support teams with performance, scalability, reliability, and capacity planning.
