Overview
Serve as program advisory lead for high-visibility and time-critical programs. Support and advise government program managers through all acquisition phases, including requirements development, design, development, integration, testing, delivery, and fielding. Assist in acquisition planning, market research, and drafting technical requirements and documentation. Support acquisition strategy development and necessary documentation for systems acquisition. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to verify program needs and ensure goals are met. Help the government assess technical sufficiency, cost, quality, and delivery of program deliverables, and support program reviews. Translate complex ideas and data into simple, actionable recommendations or clear courses of action. Consult with other SETA and FFRDC teams to provide advice and problem resolution assistance. Support management and execution of multiple projects, ensuring proper coordination and resource utilization. Draft, review, and edit final program reports, documents, and briefings. Communicate clearly and concisely with technical accuracy, often briefing senior government leadership. Coordinate with external agencies, operational units, higher headquarters, COCOMs, other acquisition activities, and R&D functions. Develop Monthly Status Reports covering major activities, challenges, opportunities, deliverables, and subcontractor performance. Required Skills
25+ years proven acquisition experience in DoD and/or IC system development and transition. Knowledge of space systems development, integration, testing, and manufacturing. Understanding of ground systems supporting space operations and mission user needs. Experience in DoD program management, including development and transition. Experience with requirements management, project planning, and schedules. Familiarity with risk management, SOWs, and PWS. Desired Skills
20+ years proven program management experience in DoD and/or IC systems. Experience supporting ACAT I/II acquisition programs. DAWIA Level III Program Management certification. Experience with satellite and ground system development and fielding. Experience as SETA to government program offices. Experience with rapid prototyping and transition to production. Experience planning and executing ground and space system test campaigns. Education
Relevant BS and MS degrees. Clearance
Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility. At least 2 years of SAP/SCI environment experience, including within the last 5 years. Must maintain TS/SCI clearance and be willing to undergo a polygraph. Additional Notes
This is a full-time, on-site position at Kirtland AFB, NM, with travel up to 25% within the U.S.
