Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students across our district. This role is designed to enhance student success by providing intervention services under the direct supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist. The specific school assignment for this position will be determined based on district needs.

About the Role The Speech Language Pathology Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist to provide direct speech and language support services to eligible students. This includes implementing treatment plans, documenting student progress, and assisting with screening, assessment data collection, and preparation of instructional materials. This role is vital in improving student communication skills and ensuring that IEP goals are met in a timely and supportive manner.
The SLPA may provide services across multiple school sites. The role involves conducting speech and language screenings, documenting therapy sessions, and supporting therapy-related data collection. Professional communication and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential, as are organizational skills and comfort with therapy equipment and data management tasks.
Who We're Looking For EPSD9 is looking for an individual who is organized, compassionate, and passionate about helping students reach their communication potential. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience working in pediatric or school-based settings and is comfortable delivering services under supervision in educational environments.
Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant through the Oregon Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board. An associate degree from an approved SLPA program is required, which includes specific coursework, general education credits, and at least 100 hours of clinical experience. A valid Oregon driver's license is required, and current first aid certification is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to follow therapy protocols accurately, and comfort with data documentation and instructional technology are essential. Experience working collaboratively with educators, students, and families is highly valued.
