In Vanguard's Global Investment Financial Systems department or GIFS, we are hiring a Sr AI/ML Data Architect to help us build systems that better support our investment and finance businesses. Core Responsibilities: Assess business requirements and the architectural framework of AI/ML solutions to meet business needs, collaborating with internal and external clients and partners. Develop deployment plans for scalable and secure AI platforms, applications, and systems across various cloud infrastructures and AI devices. Document technical specifications and configurations for all users, resolving deployment issues related to AI/ML solutions. Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and act as a SME for AI/ML products and services in specific verticals, staying current on the latest technologies and tools. Apply and integrate moderately complex machine learning algorithms, such as regression models, into organizational practices. Analyze statistical data using machine learning techniques to identify opportunities for business development and process improvements. Conduct A/B testing on models, algorithms, and systems to evaluate performance. Continuously optimize models to improve performance of AI/ML algorithms. Validate business problems and ensure appropriate AI technologies are utilized to address them. Prototype AI models and applications to evaluate their effectiveness in solving business challenges. Perform code reviews, optimize algorithms, and conduct experiments to ensure functionality and performance. Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred. At least eight years of related work experience, including three years in technology architecture. Experience in AI/ML model development and deployment. Knowledge of GenAI architecture, engineering, and application deployment. Experience with AWS, MLOps, GenAI Ops, LLMOps. Strong system architecture skills, focusing on scalable, high-performance, and cost-effective AI systems. Special Factors Sponsorship:
