Draslovka Mining Solutions has a Sodium Cyanide Sr Process Technology Engineer position available in support of process development and improvements, technology development, major manufacturing projects, and customer technical support. This is a highly visible role within the Company and the Manufacturing function. This position will report to the Manufacturing Technology Manager and is based at the Memphis Plant.

Responsibilities Include

n

Understands current and leading technologies and works to develop new sodium cyanide technologies that improve business performance at the site and corporate levels.

n

Understands facilities and provides technical support as requested for:

n

The Memphis sodium cyanide plant,

n

Draslovkas sodium cyanide transloading operations,

n

Sodium cyanide customers,

n

Technical sales/services, and

n

New cyanide facilities.

n

Maintains and controls the Technical Engineering Document Library (EDL) and documents new information for the files.

n

Provides technical leadership to improve process safety, reliability, capability, and productivity of the technologies implemented at Draslovka solid cyanide plants, transloading operations, and customer facilities.

n

Leads the development, engineering, implementation, and support of major capital projects, including scope and basic data development, project oversight, and equipment run-in and start up at Mining Solutions manufacturing plants.

n

Leads and/or participates in Process Hazards Analysis reviews of major capital projects for which he/she is the project process lead.

n

Provides organizational leadership, including mentoring of Manufacturing Technical team members.

n

Networks and leverages knowledge from other functions and corporate groups.

n

Develops, documents, and leads process training for the manufacturing line organization (operations and maintenance) to boost the organizations operating/equipment/technical knowledge and capability.

n

Leads technical team interactions with external technical sales for strategic growth projects.

Qualifications (Required & )

n

Required

n

BS, MS, or PhD degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.

n

15 years technical and/or production experience in chemical manufacturing facilities.

n

Knowledgeable in solids/liquid separation and solids handling

n

Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.

n

Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, solve, or help others solve equipment, process, and/or safety issues.

n

Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 regulations such as Process Hazards Analysis, Process Technology (Process Safety Information), Management of Change-Technology, and RAGAGEP, among others.

n

Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, mentor, develop others, and work in a team-based environment.

n

Demonstrated skill in leadership, team building, and achieving results through influence and negotiation.

n

Well-developed technical writing skills.

n

Good interpersonal and communication skills. Must work well in both self-managed and team environments.

n

Ability to access and network with appropriate site and corporate teams to gain or share knowledge.

n

Self-management skills with strong initiative.

n

Provide leadership skills and able to listen to team members' input to make recommendations aligned with production goals.

n

Ability and willingness to travel in the US and globally.

20 years or more technical and/or production experience in chemical manufacturing facilities.

n

Strong background in vacuum crystallization, solids/liquid separation, and solids handling.

n

Experience with production of Sodium Cyanide and highly toxic materials.

n

Demonstrated use of Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt or Black Belt certified)

n

SAP experience

n

IP21 experience

n

Process Modeling Experience with ASPEN, HTRI, etc.
