Draslovka Mining Solutions has a Sodium Cyanide Sr Process Technology Engineer position available in support of process development and improvements, technology development, major manufacturing projects, and customer technical support. This is a highly visible role within the Company and the Manufacturing function. This position will report to the Manufacturing Technology Manager and is based at the Memphis Plant.
Responsibilities Include
Understands current and leading technologies and works to develop new sodium cyanide technologies that improve business performance at the site and corporate levels.
nUnderstands facilities and provides technical support as requested for:
nThe Memphis sodium cyanide plant,
nDraslovkas sodium cyanide transloading operations,
nSodium cyanide customers,
nTechnical sales/services, and
nNew cyanide facilities.
nMaintains and controls the Technical Engineering Document Library (EDL) and documents new information for the files.
nProvides technical leadership to improve process safety, reliability, capability, and productivity of the technologies implemented at Draslovka solid cyanide plants, transloading operations, and customer facilities.
nLeads the development, engineering, implementation, and support of major capital projects, including scope and basic data development, project oversight, and equipment run-in and start up at Mining Solutions manufacturing plants.
nLeads and/or participates in Process Hazards Analysis reviews of major capital projects for which he/she is the project process lead.
nProvides organizational leadership, including mentoring of Manufacturing Technical team members.
nNetworks and leverages knowledge from other functions and corporate groups.
nDevelops, documents, and leads process training for the manufacturing line organization (operations and maintenance) to boost the organizations operating/equipment/technical knowledge and capability.
nLeads technical team interactions with external technical sales for strategic growth projects.
nnQualifications (Required & )
nRequired
nBS, MS, or PhD degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering.
n15 years technical and/or production experience in chemical manufacturing facilities.
nKnowledgeable in solids/liquid separation and solids handling
nDemonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
nDemonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to diagnose, troubleshoot, solve, or help others solve equipment, process, and/or safety issues.
nDemonstrated knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 regulations such as Process Hazards Analysis, Process Technology (Process Safety Information), Management of Change-Technology, and RAGAGEP, among others.
nDemonstrated ability to teach, coach, mentor, develop others, and work in a team-based environment.
nDemonstrated skill in leadership, team building, and achieving results through influence and negotiation.
nWell-developed technical writing skills.
nGood interpersonal and communication skills. Must work well in both self-managed and team environments.
nAbility to access and network with appropriate site and corporate teams to gain or share knowledge.
nSelf-management skills with strong initiative.
nProvide leadership skills and able to listen to team members' input to make recommendations aligned with production goals.
nAbility and willingness to travel in the US and globally.
nn20 years or more technical and/or production experience in chemical manufacturing facilities.
nStrong background in vacuum crystallization, solids/liquid separation, and solids handling.
nExperience with production of Sodium Cyanide and highly toxic materials.
nDemonstrated use of Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt or Black Belt certified)
nSAP experience
nIP21 experience
nProcess Modeling Experience with ASPEN, HTRI, etc.
