Overview
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge of various networking protocols and technologies, and will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, Cisco routing, and cloud networking, with a strong emphasis on security, performance, and observability. Key Responsibilities: Network Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and manage complex network solutions to support business requirements. Configure and maintain BGP and OSPF routing protocols for optimal network performance. Network Infrastructure Management: Manage Cisco/Meraki switching and Wi-Fi solutions, ensuring stability and scalability. Oversee Cisco Nexus Data Center switching to maintain high availability and performance. Network Security and Performance: Ensure network security using PaloAlto Firewalls and Global Protect to safeguard the infrastructure. Implement and manage SD-WAN solutions, preferably Cisco Viptella, to optimize network connectivity across remote locations. Manage cloud networking environments, with a preference for Azure, to support hybrid cloud infrastructure. Monitoring and Observability: Monitor and maintain network performance, observability, and health to ensure minimal downtime and quick issue resolution. Document network configurations, changes, and updates to maintain a clear record of network architecture and operations. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with expert-level knowledge in the following: BGP, OSPF, Cisco routing protocols. Cisco/Meraki switching and Wi-Fi solutions. Cisco Nexus Data Center switching. Network documentation and configuration management. PaloAlto Firewalls and PaloAlto Global Protect. SD-WAN (with preference for Cisco Viptella). Cloud networking (preferably Azure). Network observability and monitoring tools. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and optimize network performance. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to document network architecture and changes for clear knowledge transfer and troubleshooting. Preferred Skills: Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent industry certifications. Experience with network automation tools to streamline network management and provisioning. Familiarity with other cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud is a plus.
