Our client in the banking industry is looking for a Linux Systems engineer to join their team for an upcoming upgrade from RedHat 8.8 to 8.9. The ideal candidate will have minimum of 5 years of experience as a systems engineer with focus in Linux RedHat and previous upgrade/migration experience. This person will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of their IT Infrastructure with a focus on ensuring the security, performance, and scalability of the systems. Within Linux, this person will be installing, configuring, and managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, performing regular updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain stability and security, as well as monitoring and optimizing system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability. This will be a fully remote opportunity, 3 month contract with potential extensions into 2025.
