Job Details Level : Management Job Location : Geospace Technologies - Houston, TX Position Type : Full Time Education Level : 4 Year Degree Salary Range : Undisclosed Travel Percentage : Negligible Job Shift : Day Job Category : Engineering Description The Sr Project Manager will lead impactful cross-functional product development programs for energy exploration products and solutions to business success. The Sr. Project Manager effectively interacts with all levels and all locations of Geospace to lead programs and projects from ideation/inception through full development process culminating in on-time market introduction and manufacturing ramp of high-quality new products following stage/gate and hybrid methodologies. The role requires experience and expertise to identify and manage risks to time-to-market, investment, capabilities, and cost. The successful Sr. Project Manager will possess a keen ability to identify and manage the critical path coupled with significant leadership skills to be a trusted and collaborative partner with all stakeholders. Project Leadership Responsibilities: Leads, plans, and coordinates cross-functional efforts to develop and launch successful new products. Hands-on project leadership to meet business and technical requirements. Experience in identifying inter-dependence and hands-offs to craft comprehensive project plans and scheduled. Regularly reports on performance of the project, including weekly status reporting, monthly presentations, and stage/gate or change requests to ensure full stakeholder engagement. Expert in the stage/gate and NPI processes to provide training and mentoring as needed. Supports efforts to continually evolve the project and program management processes to incorporate lessons learned and adopt contemporary best practices. Duties/Responsibilities: Works for and consults with the VP Engineering and the Chief Technology Officer. Develops new products (NPI) with a thorough stage-gate process to be built with quality, on time , and on budget. Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing and Sales, Supply Chain and Manufacturing departments to coordinate new product launch. Drives and runs gate reviews and participates in change requests and compiles weekly and monthly updates. Performs other related duties as required by the VP Engineering and/or Chief Technology Officer. Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and concisely up and down the organization. Technical knowledge of product development, market launch, production tooling and process creation, and supply-chain to achieve on-time and on-budget product launch. Influence, negotiation, and consensus building skills to foster stakeholder engagement and executive leadership alignment Innate sense for when escalation is needed to keep programs on track for business success. Planning and facilitation skills to develop and maintain program and project plans. Interpersonal skills to navigate challenges and conflicts. Ability to define processes, resources, capabilities, and integration points for new solutions to be delivered. Deft time management skills. Fluent in project management software and management tools, such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Assana, or similar tool suites. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required; MBA, PMP desired by not required. At least five years of related engineering program management encompassing, HW, FW, SW, and Mechanical Required. 5 plus years of NPI development using Gate Review process. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times. Ability to traverse manufacturing facility. #J-18808-Ljbffr
