A law firm seeks an
Associate Attorney
in the United States to provide legal guidance and support to staff attorneys and non-attorney team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family-based and humanitarian immigration law, with a commitment to helping individuals legalize their status. Duties
Prepare and supervise U.S. nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications, including humanitarian visas. Supplement pending family-based and humanitarian applications. Review and analyze FOIAs from government agencies. Standardize legal strategies for case types, including RFEs and denials. Ensure consistency in legal strategy, client communications, and filings. Design and deliver training programs for team members. Develop standardized templates and legal resource materials. Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and legal updates. Mentor staff attorneys and non-attorney team members. Collaborate with operations to improve case workflows and systems. Ensure compliance with firm policies and immigration regulations. Stay current with changes in immigration law. Requirements
J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school. Active member in good standing of a state bar. 3+ years of experience in U.S. immigration law, focusing on humanitarian and family-based cases. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Experience in training, mentoring, or managing team members. Advocacy-focused approach to client representation. Innovative mindset for improving operations and processes. Leadership skills and strong work ethic. Skills
Strong communication and leadership skills. Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. Ability to mentor and train team members. Innovative and adaptable to change.
