Job Description Job Title: Central Sterile Processing Technologist III Profession: Nursing Specialty: Sterile Processing Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, Evening, Rotating Hours per Shift: 8 hours
Experience: Minimum of 8 years License: Active CRCST or CSPDT licensure required Certifications: National Sterile Processing Certification, CRCST or CSPDT Certification
Must-Have: 8-10 years of solid work experience as a Central Sterile Processing Technologist. Must have solid Level I Trauma experience. Must be able to relocate within 3-4 weeks of accepting the offer. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Description: The position requires a Central Sterile Processing Technologist III with extensive experience. Candidates must have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sterile processing. Only experienced candidates will be considered; new graduates will not be accepted. Responsibilities include decontamination, tray assembly, sterilization, and stocking instrumentation and supplies. Candidates should be able to complete a minimum of five trays per hour. Knowledge of AAMI standards is essential. The role demands the ability to work independently. Physical requirements include the ability to push/pull up to 350 pounds and lift up to 35 pounds. Candidates must have normal visual and auditory ranges, which can be corrected if necessary. There may be some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids and to chemicals.
