[Please indicate your exam and list numbers or comparable title on your resume.] ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES Human Resources (HR) oversees recruitment, interviews, and employee data management for the Agency. HR also administers performance evaluations, manages job descriptions, and oversees employee status changes including promotions, resignations, transfers, and tax and address updates. Major Responsibilities
Oversee the recruitment process for the agency, promoting opportunities to maintain a high-quality workforce. Supervise the Human Resources Recruitment Team, managing postings, interviews, and ensuring compliance with policies. Manage drafting and editing of postings and interview matrixes, and develop external recruitment and outreach plans. Promote job opportunities at NYC Parks at community and school career fairs, utilizing social media, college partnerships, and other channels to attract candidates. Provide recommendations to enhance recruitment and retention. Conduct Structured Interview trainings for panel members and posting liaisons. Collaborate with Budget, DEIB, Borough offices, and other city agencies such as DCAS. Coordinate transfer requests with other Mayoral agencies for provisional hires. Master's degree in relevant fields plus two years of professional experience, including 18 months in a supervisory capacity, in areas like management, personnel, or fiscal administration. Baccalaureate degree plus four years of relevant professional experience, including supervisory experience. Preferred Skills
Strong management, supervisory, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of Agency operations, civil service rules, and proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
