Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation's third largest arts center. Comprised of three Art PartnersAlliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Artthere's a role for everyone at The Woodruff. Reports to: Manager, Family and Group Experiences FLSA: United States of America (Non-Exempt) Employment Status: Temporary/Part time The Summer Program Assistant represents the Museum during operating hours as a positive front line education presence with the public. Supports the work of the Public Engagement department with regard to education programs as described below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 35% Program implementation, set-up, clean-up
Toddler Thursday (every Thursday) Family Saturday (first Saturday of the month) UPS Second Sunday (second Sunday of the month)
25% Greene Family Learning Gallery
Daily opening, closing, restocking
40% Supply prep/organization
Program supply preparation and organization Supply and storage space inventory and organization Supplies ordered and organized as needed
Work Schedule: Mid-May 2025 through August 2025, 24 hours per week Thursdays, 9am-5pm Saturdays, 9am-5pm Sundays, 9am-5pm Qualifications: High school diploma required, undergraduate studies or degree preferred. Experience working in customer service or visitor relations required. Outgoing personality; enjoy working with the public. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, plan ahead, anticipate and articulate needs, and work independently. Ability to problem-solve, be flexible, and imaginative; excellent communication skills. A background in teaching and or facilitating learning experiences.
