Surgical Technology - Program Director

Key Responsibilities:
As the Program Director, you will be responsible for: • Recruiting, orienting, and supervising faculty members for the department.• Conducting regular observations and evaluations of faculty to ensure excellence in teaching.• Supporting faculty in their professional development.• Assuring correct scheduling and registration of returning students.• Participating in the budgeting process to meet program needs.• Reviewing student progress and eligibility for graduation.• Collaborating on curriculum development and updates.• Organizing advisory committee meetings.• Participating in accreditation self-studies.• Maintaining department equipment and coordination with externship placements.• Advising students on their academic journey.• Other duties as assigned by the Academic Dean. Qualifications
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have: • Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is required. • Education: Associate degree in Surgical Technology. • Experience:
o Minimum 5 years experience in scrub role; AND
o Minimum of 3 years in the last 5 years as a practicing surgical technologist OR instructor in surgical technology. • Teaching: Previous teaching experience is preferred. • Management: Management experience is required. • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
