RDU Office Description The Paralegal Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of the paralegal team's responsibilities, providing high-quality support to the legal department and attorneys within the organization. This role manages two or more team leads who oversee legal assistants, junior paralegals, and/or paralegals. As Syncfusion continues to grow, the Paralegal Manager develops the paralegal team to meet the company's legal needs. General Job Responsibilities Stay current on legal developments and best practices in the paralegal field. Collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals. Assist with litigation management and legal research. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the paralegal team. Participate in legal departmental meetings and provide input on paralegal matters. Contracts Manage the full contract lifecycle: intake, drafting, negotiation, execution, renewal, and termination, ensuring compliance with company policies and risk standards. Mentor junior staff and paralegals on contract processes and tools. Maintain reporting mechanisms for contract status and performance metrics. Improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce risks. Collaborate with sales, procurement, finance, and business teams to align contracts with strategic goals. Maintain templates, clause libraries, and playbooks for scalable contract management. Ensure compliance with key contract terms and monitor renewal deadlines. Support audits and regulatory compliance with accurate documentation. Utilize contract management systems to track workflows and automate alerts. Handle escalations and negotiations related to contracts. Intellectual Property Law Review open source components before releases. Draft memos on ongoing IP issues. Research IP law changes bi-weekly and update software teams accordingly. Legal Training for Other Departments Participate in training to stay updated on legal topics. Coordinate with the training team to deliver legal updates and interpretation guidance. Communicate team and process updates through meetings and trainings. Education, Experience, and Skills Education Level :
Bachelor's Degree Experience :
4+ years as a paralegal, 2+ years in leadership Certifications: NC Paralegal Certification required; national certifications and Notary Public preferred. Preferred Skills :
