Overview
The Linux Engineer will play a key role in enhancing and securing Linux environments by leading initiatives to assess, remediate, and optimize elevated access practices.
This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including security architects, engineers, and business stakeholders, to facilitate the migration of Linux servers to CyberArk and implement access management best practices.
The ideal candidate will have deep Linux expertise, experience with CyberArk, and the ability to drive access control remediation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Linux engineers and support teams to assess current sudo and root access practices.
Engage with users and managers across business and technology units to evaluate elevated access requirements.
Partner with the security architect to design a future-state access management model for Linux environments.
Lead the full remediation lifecycle, including discovery, analysis, planning, testing, and validation.
Ensure alignment with access management policies through effective stakeholder communication.
Coordinate access remediation activities and maintain oversight of progress and compliance.
Required Qualifications
610 years of hands-on experience as a Linux Engineer in complex enterprise environments. 6+ years of experience managing, supporting, and troubleshooting Linux systems. 34 years of experience migrating Linux servers within a CyberArk framework. 3+ years of experience with CyberArk. In-depth understanding of Linux system architecture including kernel, libraries, file systems, and process management. Proficient in user and group management, permission structures, and Linux security best practices. Excellent task management and execution skills for handling access control projects. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tools such as Centrify and Ansible. Business analysis skills to gather and document access management requirements. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
