Miami, FL . We are offering a hiring bonus of up to $10,000 for selected candidates! The
Engineer III / Engineer IV
will be responsible for designing, permitting, and executing projects that enhance essential infrastructure and public services. You will collaborate with engineers, planners, and agency stakeholders throughout project phases. This position is ideal for experienced professionals with a background in public-sector engineering, including water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, roadway design, transportation improvements, and utility coordination. Responsibilities include:
Lead planning, permitting, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects in Florida, such as water and wastewater treatment and conveyance, stormwater management, roadway improvements, and utility coordination. Prepare and oversee construction documents, including civil/site plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates, ensuring quality standards. Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR), ensuring compliance with Florida statutes, agency regulations, and standards. Collaborate with project teams, conduct field investigations, attend meetings, and support construction services. Coordinate with permitting agencies like FDEP, FDOT, and local districts. Assist Project Managers with scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource planning. Ensure work aligns with client goals through proactive communication. Promote practical, cost-effective design solutions for municipal needs. Requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Deltek Vision, Smartsheet, or similar software. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Strong multi-tasking skills, adhering to schedules and budgets. Knowledge of relevant codes, practices, and standards. Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. P.E. license in Florida. At least 5+ years of experience for Engineer III, 8+ years for Engineer IV, in water/wastewater, stormwater, roadway, and utility projects. Knowledge of agency requirements including FDOT, FDEP, and local water entities. Compensation & Benefits:
