The
Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB)
supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. About the position:
As a Senior Application Developer within the DTMB’s Center for Shared Solutions, the employee will perform a complete range of information system developer assignments including, but not limited to, designing, developing, testing, and implementing computer systems and applications for the Geographic Information Systems Application Development team. This individual is primarily responsible for providing Senior Application Development support across several applications, will be looked upon to provide technical support to Agencies and other team members, as well as evaluate new developmenttools and systems. Information Technology Programmer Analyst 12 Position Location:
This position is located in Lansing, MI. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. SIGNING BONUS
: This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees. Classifications for the $2,500 bonus are: Information Technology Infrastructure Analyst Information Technology Programmer/Analyst Information Technology Project Coordinator Information Technology Project Manager Information Technology Specialist

Education
Information Technology Programmer/Analyst P11/12
Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.
Experience
Information Technology Programmer/Analyst P11
No specific type or amount is required.
Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12
Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.
Information Technology Programmer/Analyst P11-12
Possession of an associate’s degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis,computer programming, project management, or mathematics and two years of experience as anapplication programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or two years (4160hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant, may be substituted for theeducation requirement.
OR
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.
