Ready to help shape the future of technology? This short but impactful 1-hour study aims to improve human movement recognition via artificial intelligence technology. Project Overview For this study, we are looking for participants of all demographics! Adults and minors (ages 13 and up) will be video recorded while performing basic movements like walking or sitting down. 13-17-year-olds need a legal guardian to register, provide consent, and need to be accompanied for the session. Research is being conducted in Seattle, WA, Los Angeles, CA, and San Jose, CA. This is a one-time task Compensation: Participants will be compensated for completed sessions. An additional half hour is required to check in for appointments and is not included in session times. Our current sessions are compensated at the following rates: Seattle, WA 1-ho ur sessions: Adults: $100 Minors: $115 Los Angeles, CA and San Jose, CA 1-hour sessions: Adults: $125 Minors: $175 Payments will be made via Hyperwallet, where you can choose PayPal, bank transfer, or Venmo as the payment method. Qualification path Basic Requirements Reside in the United States. 13+ years of age. Basic English Proficiency. Be able to commute to the project location. Perform simple user action tasks as instructed by our moderator team, such as walking in and out of a doorway onsite. Please note: Individuals who use mobility aids or supports are welcome to participate. However, participants must be able to walk, navigate stairs, and generally move around independently. Additionally, participants need to be comfortable being present in a low-light or dark room environment. TELUS Digital will contact selected participants to book an appointment and provide further details. TELUS Digital is committed to reducing harmful biases in AI. You will be asked to provide certain physical information in registering. This information will be used to ensure that this study is an accurate representation of the community.
