North Carolina
bar, and a preference for on-site work. This role focuses on
technology transactions, data security, privacy, and emerging technologies , including AI. The successful candidate will join a collaborative in-house legal team. Key Responsibilities: Draft and negotiate contracts related to data security, privacy, and technology transactions. Support IT procurement, compliance, and regulatory matters. Advise on emerging technology initiatives, including AI-related legal issues. Collaborate with internal teams including Information Technology, Privacy, and Procurement. Deliver training and legal updates related to data and privacy compliance. Provide general transactional and corporate legal support. Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice in North Carolina or eligible to obtain NC licensure within 12 months. Minimum 7 years of legal experience, including significant work with privacy, data security, and tech transactions. Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Location: Strong preference for
on-site work in Durham, NC , with flexibility for remote days. The client is willing to consider remote work for candidates who meet all criteria.
