JOB DESCRIPTION As part of the EE Systems Integration team, we will collectively be responsible for assuring that electrical, electronic, and mechatronic systems are integrated and tested into systems and vehicles with a maximum of reliability and performance.
As a Test Technician you will be responsible for operating a dynamometer and executing a defined test plan on an electrical test asset. You will work with system owners, firmware developers, test engineers and other technicians to operate test bucks and robots in stationary and dyno environments. You will also aid in design, procure and build test bucks and robots with visible craftsmanship and deep pride in the end product. Life isn’t perfect though, problems will happen and you will help to root cause and understand them and make the product better.
Responsibilities
Be trained to operate our dynamometer (dyno) to simulate driving conditions and fault injection on our hardware-in-the-loop electrical test asset Operate and execute tests cases (following test plan) on the dyno Work with test requesters to assure successful performance evaluations Perform first level of troubleshooting when a test fails or don’t perform as expected Flash firmware on vehicle components with changes and updates tracking Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Assemble electro-mechanical system assets and test fixtures Fabricate and assemble test fixtures from CAD and design drawings Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Fabricate and pinout wiring harnesses from schematic
Qualifications
AA or higher in electrical/electronics technology, or equivalent Experience executing test plans on an electrical asset Knowledge in Linux commands and scripting Experience assembling and testing electro-mechanical systems Experience with EE lab equipment (Digital Multimeters, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, etc)
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with axle-hub dynamometers Familiar with operating dSPACE and HIL systems Previous experience diagnosing CAN or ethernet network issues Experience with automotive high voltage systems
