Description: Develops and implements procurement strategies for key commodities and spend categories to optimize purchasing power and achieve financial objectives for an area. Sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing in an area. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provides guidance and support. Monitors and analyzes market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation. Analyzes procurement activities across an area to identify opportunities for consolidation and increased purchasing power. Implements and enforces procurement procedures to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards. Mentors, coaches, provides feedback, and evaluates the performance of procurement staff as required. Collaborates with leadership to establish supply chain objectives and leads cross-functional teams. Evaluates vendor capabilities, reliability, and financial stability for qualification purposes. Performs other duties as assigned.
