We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) to join a leading surgical team in Reno, NV . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular surgery and thrive in high-acuity, team-driven operating room environments. This role involves scrubbing and/or circulating for a variety of open-heart and vascular procedures with a rotating on-call schedule .
Key Responsibilities:
*
Assist with setup, intraoperative support, and post-procedure transition for cardiovascular surgical cases
*
Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs in a sterile and efficient surgical environment
*
Monitor patient status and advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout procedures
*
Maintain accurate and timely intraoperative documentation in accordance with hospital policy
*
Prepare and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment specific to cardiac and thoracic procedures
*
Comply with infection control protocols and all safety and regulatory standards
*
Participate in on-call rotation , including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Requirements:
*
Active Nevada RN license or Compact RN license (Required)
*
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA – Required)
*
Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience (Required)
*
Experience scrubbing and/or circulating open-heart and vascular procedures (Preferred)
*
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical techniques and OR protocols
*
Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment with precision and professionalism
