Associate Attorney Job Overview: A well-established law firm in Anaheim, CA is seeking an experienced associate attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring 5-7 years of professional experience in handling complex legal matters. Expertise in insurance coverage and/or insurance bad faith claims is highly desirable, but not required. The firm is looking for an individual who can confidently take on both trial and arbitration work, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior attorneys. Duties: Manage a variety of cases, focusing on insurance coverage and potential bad faith claims. Serve as first or second chair during trial proceedings and arbitration hearings. Conduct legal research to develop effective strategies and provide in-depth analysis for clients. Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements. Assist in preparing witnesses and exhibits for trial or arbitration. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction. Represent clients in negotiations and mediation when necessary. Requirements: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in litigation, with a strong focus on insurance matters. Prior first or second chair trial and/or arbitration experience. Insurance coverage and/or insurance bad faith experience a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines. Proficiency in legal research and writing. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts. Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Licensed to practice law in California. Skills: Exceptional research and writing skills. Strong litigation skills, including trial and arbitration experience. Ability to think critically and solve complex legal problems. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
