We are seeking a(an) Ultrasound Student Extern PRN for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Job Summary and Qualifications: The Ultrasound Student Extern delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services while gaining practical experience and knowledge in ultrasonography principles. Under the supervision of a licensed Ultrasonographer, the Student Extern prepares for and assists with ultrasound procedures, in accordance with the extern's skills/training and the needs of the department. The Ultrasound Student Extern is currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of Ultrasonography and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved. What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of Ultrasonography. 1 year of ultrasound education completed, or as mandated by state of practice. Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate. HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is a 126-bed acute hospital. We offer a full range of Emergency, Surgical and Inpatient and Outpatient services.
