We're looking for a dynamic Senior Network Engineer to join our Systems Engineering and Architecture Services (SEAS) Team in support of a critical national security customer. RESPONSIBILITIES Translate stakeholder and Government requirements into enterprise network solutions, upgrades, and modifications. Lead the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of Cisco, Juniper, Riverbed, and SolarWinds-based solutions. Serve as the highest internal escalation tier for the Networking O&M team, providing advanced troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Produce and maintain accurate documentation including as-built network diagrams, performance plans, and secure system lifecycle planning. Collaborate with the IT Architecture and Engineering (A&E) team to research and evaluate new technologies for modernizing network infrastructure. Support global ROBO and data center network operations with approximately 15% annual travel. Mentor junior team members and provide on-the-job training (OJT) to elevate team capabilities. REQUIREMENTS 7+ years of progressive experience in network engineering across enterprise IT systems Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Data Center Associate's Degree OR active certifications (CompTIA Security+ ce, GSEC, or SSCP) 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco Routing and Switching technologies (e.g., BGP, OSPF, QoS, VRF) Experience with secure encrypted devices (e.g., Taclanes), Next-Gen Firewalls, and network-based security protocols Strong background in high availability, load balancing, COOP, and secure processing environments (DISA STIGs/SRGs) Demonstrated experience working in globally dispersed teams and delivering against mission-critical deadlines Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain a CI Polygraph PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP Collaboration, or CCNP Security Technical certifications in Juniper, Riverbed, and other enterprise solutions Experience with Cisco ASA, Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), and TelePresence systems Familiarity with Riverbed Steelhead, SolarWinds NCM, and Juniper Firewalls Experience with Cisco ACI and Data Center Network Manager (DCNM) for Software Defined Networking (SDN) Ability to mentor and lead junior engineers while supporting the CSWF Network Operations Specialist role (SECNAV M-5239.2 Intermediate Level)
