Position Summary
This Assistant District Attorney position is a full-time position to be filled in the District Attorney's office for Walworth County, located in Elkhorn, WI. This is a State position in the unclassified service. This position has an anticipated start date of Monday, October 6, 2025.
Walworth County is an ideal place to live and work and is located in proximity to Chicago, Madison and Milwaukee. Walworth County residents have access to exemplary schools, good jobs and amazing recreational activities.
Salary Information
The starting salary for the position will be $76,378 annually ($36.72 per hour).
Job Details
Attorneys who are currently employed by the State of Wisconsin are invited to apply and may be able to transfer at their current pay rate. Attorneys who have left the position of Wisconsin elected District Attorney or Assistant District Attorney within the last five years may be able to be hired at a wage rate above the minimum.
Qualifications
Only attorneys who have been admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin may be hired. A minimum of two years prosecution experience is preferred, but not required. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
