We are looking for a skilled Web Designer/Webmaster to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our organization's web presence, ensuring an exceptional user experience across all devices. This position combines creative web design with technical expertise to deliver a seamless and accessible online experience for users. Responsibilities: Design and implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces tailored to healthcare-specific needs. Manage and update the organization's content management system, ensuring consistent styling and functionality. Oversee collaboration with external development teams and vendors to meet technical and design requirements. Optimize website performance, including speed and conversion paths, to enhance user engagement. Perform regular audits for broken links, plugin updates, and backups to ensure site reliability. Implement and analyze user behavior tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar to guide design improvements. Maintain compliance with accessibility standards and regulatory requirements in all web updates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align website content and design with organizational goals. Create wireframes and prototypes using tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud for design planning. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, coordinating with developers for complex integrations. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in web design, content management, or front-end development. Proficiency in platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, and JavaScript. Demonstrated expertise in creating intuitive UX/UI designs, with a portfolio showcasing healthcare, SaaS, or education projects. Familiarity with web accessibility standards and ADA compliance. Experience using web analytics tools like Google Analytics and heatmaps for data-driven design. Knowledge of web publishing tools, CSS, and wireframe creation using Figma or similar software. Ability to work collaboratively with creative, legal, and technical teams. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to troubleshoot and resolve web-related issues.
