Seaside Toolbox Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing equitable access to high-quality workforce development programs in the skilled trades. We’re not just a nonprofit, we’ve a movement, our mission is to empower individuals through hands-on training, ongoing community outreach, and opportunity—breaking the cycle of generational poverty and fostering community upliftment. We’re building a world where skilled trades are respected, accessible, and life-changing. We're scrappy, soulful, and relentless in pursuit of our mission. You'll find us in schools talking to students, in our training lab showing what’s possible, and behind the scenes designing programs that break down generational barriers to success. We operate independently but partner closely with Seaside Plumbing, a respected local company that’s deeply committed to growing the next generation of tradespeople. Together, we’re proving that workforce development can be innovative, impactful, and full of heart. Who You Are You thrive in momentum. A whiteboard full of goals lights you up. A day with 17 moving parts? Bring it on. You’re a builder—not just of programs, but of people, connections, and possibilities. You wake up ready to chase potential. You’ve got a head for strategy and a heart for community. Whether you’re in a school hallway, meeting with a sponsor, or shaping the next phase of a training program—you’re on. You’re comfortable being the go-to. People look to you because you’re calm under pressure, kind under fire, and always moving things forward. You know what it takes to fund something from the ground up. Grants, donors, relationships—it’s your sweet spot. You believe in equity. In access. In work that has dignity and impact. And you’re ready to help lead a nonprofit that puts those values to work. What We Do ● Youth Outreach & The Seaside Toolbox Mobile LabTM : We’re already out in the community—speaking in classrooms, attending career days, and helping young people discover that the trades can change lives. Now, we’re taking it further. We’re building a mobile, fully-outfitted training lab designed to bring hands-on plumbing experiences directly to schools and events. Paired with our outreach program, the Toolbox Mobile Lab will make career exposure more exciting, more accessible, and more real than ever before. ● The Plumbing Relief FundTM (In Development): Plumbing can’t wait—and for many families, critical repairs are financially out of reach. This community-based program will provide low- or no-cost plumbing services to individuals and nonprofits in need (with eventually expansion to other trades), while giving apprentices meaningful, guided field experience. It’s dignity, training, and service in one. ● Hands-On Training & In-House Plumbing Lab (Operational – Transitioning from Seaside): We’re already running a robust, in-house training program at Seaside Plumbing—complete with a live plumbing lab and structured curriculum. Now, we’re bringing that power under the Seaside Toolbox Academy to expand access, provide certification pathways, continuing education and create opportunities beyond just one company, and eventually beyond just one trade. The Big Task We’re hiring an Executive Director to bring our vision to life. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: ● Strategic Leadership – You’ll develop and implement bold, mission-aligned strategies that turn vision into action. You’ll know where we’re going and build the map to get there—measuring progress, adjusting course, and keeping us grounded in purpose. ● Program Development – From our Mobile Training Lab to charitable plumbing services, you’ll build and oversee hands-on programs that change lives. You’ll manage what exists and imagine what’s next—making sure our offerings are high-impact, scalable, and rooted in real-world skills. ● Fundraising – You’ll lead the charge on raising the resources that power our work. Grants, donor relationships, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships—this is your playground.
