Carnegie Mellon University is seeking applicants for a part-time, fixed term Assistant Coach in its intercollegiate Women's Volleyball program. A national research university, Carnegie Mellon is a member of the NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports program. This is a part-time, seasonal position from October through February.
Core responsibilities include:
- Assist the head coach in conducting practice sessions by demonstrating skill instruction, motivation, and technical competency.
- Support the personal, academic, and athletic development of student-athletes by fostering a positive and inclusive team environment aligned with program goals.
- Model leadership, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions with student-athletes and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 1 year of athletic coaching experience required
- A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
- Child Protection Clearances (Act 153)
- Motor Vehicle Records (MVR)
- OSHA on the job Hazardous Materials Safety Training
- Sponsorship : Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. Carnegie Mellon is not a qualifying employer for the STEM OPT benefit: only the 12-month OPT may be used to work at Carnegie Mellon.
