Job Opportunity At Elyria Medical Center
Positions are for Elyria Medical Center only. Sign on bonus for night shift, with one year applicable experience. Possible units available include the Emergency Department, 6 Smythe (Ortho/Med/Surg), 8 Smythe (Cardiac/Tele), 9 Smythe (Observation/Cardiac Tele), 10 Smythe (Med/Surg), 11 Smythe (Med/Surg), Clinical Float Pool, In Patient Psych, Outpatient Surgery. Day and night shifts depending on available shifts. Typically 12 hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays. The Patient Care Nursing Associate PCNA completes patient care activities as delegated by the RN. PCAs perform duties including, but not limited to, ADLs, vital signs, I and Os, 12 lead ECG, bladder scan, hygiene, and venipuncture where applicable. Familiarity with using wheelchairs, EKG equipment, patient assistive devices, and patient care equipment specific to assigned population. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as well as, exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic, demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients and customers, basic computer data entry skills. Experience in a large teaching hospital preferred. One year job stability preferred.
