Montello Care Center , a respected long-term care facility serving approximately 60 residents in Montello, Wisconsin, is actively seeking a passionate, experienced, and hands-on Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team.

As our Director of Nursing, you’ll take the helm of the nursing department—guiding care delivery, inspiring your team, and ensuring we meet the highest standards in clinical outcomes and compliance. You’ll work side-by-side with our leadership team to create a supportive, innovative, and compassionate environment for residents and staff alike collaborating with the Nursing Home Administrator to strategically allocate resources to empower each resident to achieve their highest practicable level of physical, mental, psychosocial, and spiritual well-being. Your leadership will guide professionals and staff in coordinating care that prioritizes the best interests of our residents, ensuring excellence in all aspects of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of the nursing department Promote and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and other departments Drive quality improvement and resident-centered care initiatives
Qualifications & What You Need to be successful and thrive as the DON at Montello Care Center:
A robust skill set and relevant experience. An Associate Degree in Nursing is required, with a Baccalaureate preferred to ensure a strong foundation for nursing leadership. Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin is mandatory. Leadership savvy with a minimum of 2 years professional nursing leadership experience in long-term care to lead, mentor and inspire clinical teams Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey processes, and risk mitigation Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Tech skills knowing your way around Microsoft Office and Matrix Care.
