Purpose The HR Generalist supports the corporate satellite location by serving as the on-site HR presence and providing day-to-day support to employees and managers. This role covers key generalist functions such as employee relations, leave administration, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and compliance. The Generalist works closely with the HR Business Partner and Centers of Expertise (COEs) to ensure the consistent and effective delivery of HR services across the office-based workforce. Areas of Responsibility / Tasks Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below . Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns; escalate issues as needed to the Director of HR or COEs. Support leaders and employees in managing the performance management cycle, including performance reviews, goal setting, coaching conversations, and progressive discipline when needed. Provide guidance on year-end HR processes such as performance calibration, merit and bonus recommendations, and compensation adjustments. Assist in coordinating the local onboarding and offboarding experience, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Guide employees and managers through leave of absence processes in collaboration with third-party leave administrators (e.g., Unum), including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and personal leaves. Maintain HRIS data integrity by processing and auditing employee changes and ensuring accurate records. Partner with managers to effectively handle employee relations concerns, including investigations, documentation, and corrective actions. Support the implementation and communication of HR programs and initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, training, wellness campaigns). Facilitate crucial conversations between employees and leaders to resolve concerns and foster positive working relationships. Assist with policy implementation and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company standards. Maintain documentation including job descriptions, organization charts, and personnel records. Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, posting jobs, and collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team as needed. Participate in cross-functional HR projects and initiatives as assigned. Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or other related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in similar title and scope of responsibility. Systems Experience: Experience using automated payroll and HRIS systems creating and running reports. Experience as a system administrator with override capability, desired. Microsoft suite: Outlook, Excel - Required (Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint preferred) Licenses / Certifications: Certification in HR, such as a PHR, preferred Language: Fluent in English Work Environment / Conditions The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience. This job primarily operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and mobile communications devices. Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
