A law firm seeks a dedicated Criminal Defense Attorney in Oak Park, Illinois. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience and advance within an established firm in the Chicago area. The attorney will manage their caseload, engage with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.
Duties
Advise clients on legal rights and draft legal documents. Attend pretrial hearings and advise clients on strategies. Manage court appearances, draft motions, and conduct legal research. Analyze case outcomes using legal precedents. Provide legal analysis to determine case benefits. Gather evidence to support client cases. Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses. Requirements
At least 1 year of criminal defense experience. Experience with complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels. Team player open to collaboration and strategizing. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Strong interpersonal skills. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications
Admitted to practice law in Illinois. Skills
Excellent legal research and writing skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Paid parking.
