Position: Licensing Specialist
Salary Schedule: $23.75/hr base rate; additional credit for related experience and education.Non-Exempt Support Staff
Hours: Part-time
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Benefits: Not-Benefit Eligible
Evaluation: 90-day Probationary, then Annually
At-Will Agreement: 12 Months, 261 days
Reports to: Director of Community Relations & Marketing
JOB SUMMARY
The Licensing Specialist works under the supervision of the Director of Community Relations and Marketing to oversee Department of Health Services and Department of Economic Security licensing and compliance at District elementary schools.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Documentation of one of the following:
- Six (6) credit hours or more in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a closely-related field from an accredited college or university; or
- At least sixty (60) actual hours of instruction, provided in conferences, seminars, lectures, or workshops in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a closely-related field, and an additional 12 hours of instruction in the area of program administration, planning, development, or management.
B. At least six (6) months of childcare experience and a Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a closely-related field.
- Must possess or have applied for Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to employment.
- Must be able to work with the general public and have strong management skills.
- Must have or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
- Must have had within the past 12 months or be able to obtain within three days of hire a negative Tuberculosis test.
- Must have a basic knowledge of computer usage, keyboarding and applications.
- Ensures compliance with all Arizona Department of Health Services and Department of Economic Services regulations for all licensed sites.
- Oversees Quality First by maintaining all program documentation and all State Contracting requirements.
- Create and manage grants.
- Oversees and maintains DayCare Works software account and updates.
- Works with all program staff, on licensing criteria directly related to the classroom, program staff qualifications, and other related licensing adherence to standards.
- Schedule may vary dependent upon program needs.
- Regular Program school visits.
- Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
