In this role, the physician will serve as a team leader within our patient care model, which utilizes a multi-faceted treatment team methodology. Physicians have the opportunity to work across various levels of care, both in person and virtually, supporting patient admissions, protocol development, quality assurance, and peer reviews. The role involves collaboration with nurse practitioners and physician assistants, as well as oversight of residents and fellows during their educational rotations.
PRN Roles
PRN physicians may include those working elsewhere in the community interested in supporting RBH on weekends or part-time, or moonlighting residents in their third year of residency or higher.
Services
- Attend Patients at the Site: Conduct medication management, psychiatric evaluations, history and physicals, develop treatment plans, patient and family education, participate in team meetings, create discharge plans, collaborate with staff, oversee residents, participate in call schedules, complete documentation within 24 hours, serve as attending physician, round as needed, complete emergency detentions, provide medication education, attend staff meetings, meet productivity standards, and ensure documentation compliance.
- Payor Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with payors, review service denials, coordinate care with referring physicians, participate in marketing, and review admissions for policy compliance.
- Advocate: Support organizational initiatives, participate in quality improvement activities, identify new program opportunities, and engage in community education on behavioral health.
- Admissions Support: Provide placement recommendations, evaluate screening data, communicate professionally, coordinate with other departments, report data, prioritize cases, and maintain relationships with medical staff.
Education/Training Requirements
Requirements vary for community providers and residents/fellows, including licensing, board eligibility, training, experience, and registration with Medicare and other payers. Leadership and process improvement experience are preferred.
