Connsci is seeking an HR Generalist who will play a critical role in supporting the full employee lifecycle within a GovCon environment. This role will be responsible for key HR operations including payroll, onboarding/offboarding, compliance reporting, benefits, and employee relations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and brings experience with

iSolved

and small business HR functions. Key Responsibilities:

Core HR Operations:

Lead new hire orientation, onboarding tasks, and documentation.

Manage offboarding, including exit interviews, final pay, and compliance requirements.

Support terminations, disciplinary actions, and reductions in force (RIF).

Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with federal contractor requirements.

Oversee semi-annual performance review cycles, merit increases, and offer letter approvals.

Handle spot awards, unemployment inquiries, and employment verifications.

Conduct and support corporate compliance reporting (EEO, VETS-4212, etc.).

Administer full-cycle payroll using iSolved, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Employee Relations & Support:

Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, workplace concerns, and HR support.

Coordinate annual corporate trainings (e.g., Harassment Prevention, Security Awareness, Ethics).

Support and guide managers with disciplinary processes and documentation.

Benefits & Compliance:

Oversee benefits administration, including open enrollment, annual certifications, and vendor coordination.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and contract-specific employment regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

May also assist with general business operations including:

Corporate events and employee engagement initiatives

Business insurance renewals

Supporting internal audits and DCAA-readiness

Location:

This role will be able to work primarily remotely (up to 90%) but does require occasional office time for team meetings/collaborative initiatives, new hire onboarding, or other activities as needed. Basic Qualifications:

At least 4 years of experience in Human Resources to include experience with small business compliance, federal labor laws, and HR best practices

At least 2 years of experience working for a federal government contractor

At least 2 years of experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) such as iSolved, Workday, BambooHR, Kronos Group, Paylocity, or SAP

At least 2 years of experience with compliance regulations to include OFCCP, FMLA and ACA

Preferred Qualifications:

PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification

3+ years of experience with iSolved HRIS including running payroll

Experience supporting remote/hybrid teams across multiple states

Exposure to business insurance, employee engagement, or operations support
