Accounts Payable Specialist

Direct message the job poster from JC White Architectural Interior Products The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, including accurate and timely processing of a high volume of vendor invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work well in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities Process a high volume of vendor invoices (300+ weekly) with accuracy and efficiency. Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Ensure timely payments to vendors via check, ACH, and wire transfers. Maintain and reconcile vendor accounts; respond to inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Prepare weekly AP aging reports and assist with month-end close activities. Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and internal controls. Assist with year-end 1099 preparation and audit support as needed. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Procurement, Warehouse, Store Managers) to streamline AP processes. Maintain accurate AP files and documentation in accordance with record retention policies. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5

years of Accounts Payable experience , preferably in

retail or distribution

environments. Experience with

high-volume invoice processing

is required. Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (CORE knowledge is a plus) and Microsoft Excel. Strong knowledge of 3-way match process and general accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks. Strong communication skills and customer service orientation. Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Familiarity with inventory and purchasing systems. Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
