The Quality Engineering Technician will report to the Quality Engineering Leader.
Job Summary
This is an exciting role! The Quality Engineering Technician is a critical member of the EP² Quality Assurance Team and reports to the Quality Engineering Leader. The Quality Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting the Quality Engineering team to improve standard work practices and quality requirements to increase safety, quality, and on time delivery through the creation and maintenance of work instructions, quality planning, and system & product compliance.
Responsibilities and Duties Complete proposed Quality Management System document revisions. Learn processes in thorough detail in order to document processes in our Visual Knowledge Share to create robust work instructions. Run meetings reviewing work done and data collected. Complete defect analysis and help resolve issues with our production & engineering teams. Assist in performing root cause analysis. Assist with Quality Planning and Corrective Action projects. Facilitate meetings and present with others with a range and variety of technical skill levels. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
Education and Experience
Technical schooling or college degree preferred. 2+ years of relevant experience, skills, and product knowledge preferred. Required Skills and Abilities
Proficient organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Proficient conflict resolution skills. Proficient interpersonal and customer service skills. Proficient time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to navigate and utilize a wide range of computer systems and applications effectively. Able to communicate with all levels of employees in a respectful and approachable way. Physical Requirements
Continuous speaking, hearing and visual effort including close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Frequent standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing and handling. Occasionally lifting / moving up to 40lbs individually. Occasionally lifting / moving 50-100lbs with assistance. Exposure to loud noises, drilling, cutting, banging and typical manufacturing production physical hazards. Prolonged periods of walking and standing. Ability to climb a ladder.
