Responsible for maintenance and service on an assigned set of looms. This will be done by flag fixing, blowing off reeds, setting up TPM looms, setting doffs, aligning nozzles, and starting new warps/tie backs. Will keep looms in production, using trouble shooting methods to maintain the highest quality. They will lubricate loom parts on a regular basis. Will maintain proper loom specifications, and verification of controlled SOC on looms. Cover sand drums and rollers, change cutter blades, and input/receive data from Barco. Activate warp change with Barco inter-active warp entry and monitor the high loom stop program. Will write requisitions for needed loom parts and work order for electricians. Will assist their weavers so they can take a break. Maintain all records according to ISO standards.

Mechanical Aptitude Troubleshoots and repairs machine malfunctions. Performs preventive maintenance. Use hand tools, calibers and other devices to perform daily maintenance and repairs on textile equipment. Installed or replaced both mechanical/electrical/electronic components using hand tools. Perform maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic / air driven systems. Must be able to maintain and repair processing equipment, including making oil changes and ensuring that safety measures are in place. Locates and repairs hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical problems. Completes projects as directed (machine moves, modifications, installations; material handling; remodeling work area, etc.) Perform quality inspections that make sure the products produced are of high quality and make adjustments to improve quality when possible. Complete trouble shooting for flaws, defect during operations and quality inspections. Assists in the training of other maintenance personnel and production associates. Ensures that job functions maintain or improve product quality. Performs Preventative Maintenance functions on equipment. Must be able to work independently and follow safety protocols. Must pass Weaving training with satisfactory results before starting specific Loom Technician training. Must be able to work in a manufacturing setting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting, pulling, pushing are required.
