Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in maintaining a positive work environment through strong employee relations practices, providing payroll back-up support, and effectively managing the HR mailbox to ensure timely communication and resolution of inquiries.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, workplace issues, and conflict resolution. Partner with management to address employee relations matters, ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies and employment laws. Conduct internal investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Promote a positive organizational culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives. Payroll Support: Provide back-up support to the Payroll team during peak times, absences, or as needed. Review and verify payroll data for accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Coordinate with Finance and external payroll providers to ensure timely processing. Assist with payroll audits and reporting. HR Mailbox Management: Monitor and respond to inquiries in the shared HR mailbox in a timely and professional manner. Prioritize and escalate complex or urgent matters to the appropriate HR team member. Track common questions or trends to identify opportunities for process improvement or FAQ development. Additional Responsibilities Support HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and policy implementation. Assist in updating HR documentation and procedures. Maintain employee records in compliance with data privacy standards. Collaborate on HR projects and initiatives as needed. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 3+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and generalist functions. Familiarity with payroll processes and HRIS/payroll systems (ADP, Workday, UKG). Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of professionalism. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Preferred Qualifications:
SHRM-CP or PHR certification. Experience in a multi-location or fast-paced environment.
