Must be already accepted (having completed petitioning) & currently enrolled in and starting the first year of a Respiratory Therapy program in August/September 2025.Requires high school education or equivalency.Requires ability to identify problems, troubleshoot and know resources available for finding the most efficient solutions to problems.Basic level of computer experience with the ability to navigate Microsoft office applications including Word, Outlook and Excel.CPR certification obtained within six months of hire - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care team.Performs basic clerical and communication functions within the unit (phones, patient inquiry, e-mail, voice-mail, Voalte, etc.) as needed.The ability to represent the organization and serve consumers in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the department and its services.Possess willingness and initiative to successfully complete educational requirements and develop and learn new skills as required by the unit.Incumbents of Intern I role will be eligible for transition to the Respiratory Therapy Intern II position, upon completion of first year in respiratory program and ongoing enrollment in second year in a Respiratory Therapy program and based upon ongoing acceptable employee performance and position availability.Children's Wisconsin is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
