What are we looking for in a Program Manager? The Program Manager for the Acute Care team is a dual role serving as both clinician and supervisor for crisis services in Yakima County. The Acute Care team provides intervention and support to individuals who are experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. The clinical portion of this role includes responding to requests for crisis services and traveling out into the community to provide crisis assessments, determine what level of treatment is needed to stabilize the situation, and make arrangements for hospital placements or outpatient treatment as appropriate.The Program Manager will also have administrative duties that include tracking clients' intervention outcomes and access to care within the program, ensuring staff's timely & thorough completion of clinical documentation, developing and monitoring the budget, and coordinating team schedules.In addition, the Program Manager provides direction, guidance, and feedback to each member of the Acute Care team, including providing clinical supervision and additional training when appropriate.This role requires a confident clinician who is able to provide feedback and motivate others, while also exercising excellent clinical judgment and effective communication skills. Previous supervisory experience and experience providing crisis services is helpful. Although the Program Manager has primarily a Monday-Friday day shift schedule, they must also be available for after-hours emergency calls and shift coverage when necessary.
Program Manager duties may include: responding to requests for outreach by community partners, families, schools, or law enforcement and meeting with the identified client to de-escalate and stabilize the crisis completing screenings and assessments to determine factors contributing to the crisis, relevant history, strengths, and available resources coordinating with other treatment teams and service providers to connect the client with services and resources providing clinical supervision to staff, which includes the assessment of clinical skills, giving constructive feedback, and providing additional training ensuring the delivery of appropriate, clinically effective, and culturally-competent services across the program managing staff levels, work assignments, and program processes to ensure outreach services are provided efficiently for all requests participating in the rotation for after-hours on-call coverage Qualifications:
Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field Two years of prior experience providing behavioral health treatment is preferred Must be eligible for designation as Mental Health Professional and Designated Crisis Responder Must be eligible for one of the following credentials with the WA Department of Health:
LAAC - licensed agency affiliated counselor LMHC or LMHCA - licensed mental health counselor or associate LICSW or LICSWA - licensed independent clinical social worker or associate
Must have valid driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and a minimum of two years of safe driving experience In compliance with state and federal law, Comprehensive Healthcare requires all candidates to complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
