What are we looking for in a Program Manager?
The Program Manager for theAspen Victim Advocacy Services Center provides supervision, direction, and support to assigned staff and volunteers. They will coordinate projects and activities to help strengthen and extend selected public or private programs and projects. The Program Manager will also maintain accurate and up to date data collection per agency policy, WAC requirements and contracted obligations. Additionally, the Program Manager will ensure client files meet agency, WAC, and contract requirements and the program meets all accreditation standards, compliance requirements, RCW's and WAC's. The Program Manager will oversee services assuring staff and volunteers are well trained and educated on policies, procedures, standards, and applicable contracts. Although the Program Manager has primarily a Monday-Friday day shift schedule, they must also be available for after-hours emergency calls and shift coverage when necessary.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 6 months upon hire.
Aspen Victim Advocacy Services of Kittitas County serves both primary (to whom the violence was directed) and secondary (other concerned parties such as families and friends) victims of intimate partner domestic violence, and sexual assault. The program alsoprovides support for survivors of other crimes through the Aspen Crime Victim Service Center (CVSC). The CVSC provides crime victim services for non-intimate partner domestic violence, burglary, assault, human trafficking, and identity theft in both Kittitas and Yakima Counties.
Program Manager duties may include: Provides direction, supervision, coaching, training and regular performance feedback to build employee skills and support progress toward goals. Effectively and legally interviews applicants and makes appropriate staff selections Creates training and development plans to support new employees to be successful Completes performance evaluations in a timely and thorough manner. Assists with the development of the team budget and monitors budget throughout the year Monitors program plan adherence to ensure quality service delivery Collaborates with the Human Resources Department on hiring, retention and progressive discipline issues Communicates relevant matters to direct reports timely and effectively Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social services and two years related experience Must have knowledge of sexual assault and general crimes issues, and businesses administration Must have valid driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and a minimum of two years of safe driving experience In compliance with state and federal law, Comprehensive Healthcare requires all candidates to complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
