What are we looking for in a Systems Administrator? The System Administrator for our Information Services team uses systems analysis and software application expertise to determine hardware, software or system function specifications. Serves as a liaison with external partners to ensure operational specifications are compatible when needed to facilitate exchange of electronic information. Maintains, upgrades and tests software. Performs software and limited hardware troubleshooting to ensure functional specifications of applications or systems are meeting needs. Develops standards and procedures for and performs system backups and recovery.

Systems Administrator duties may include:

Create and maintain user accounts, licensing, permissions, and authentication settings in enterprise identity and access systems. Install, configure, monitor, and maintain servers, including system upgrades and migrations in a predominantly Microsoft/VMware environment. Document procedures, configurations, backup and recovery instructions, then create monitors, alerts, and performance reports based off documented requirements. Collaborate with IT staff to design and deploy new IT solutions. Develops PowerShell scripting for automation and administration. Documents systems, processes, and configuration information and system performance data. Ensures systems are maintained per standards. Answers Help Desk calls as backup and escalation as needed. Respond to and resolve tickets and provide Tier 2-3 support. Occasional local travel may be required. Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.

In-depth knowledge of virtualization environments. Experience with M365, Azure, and hybrid cloud managed environments. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune. Proficiency with scripting and automation in PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
