Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager
to lead our dynamic perinatal team in Seattle, WA. This role provides leadership and oversight to the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, collaborative leadership skills, and a passion for supporting mothers and families through the birthing experience. Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and best practices. Support, mentor, and develop nursing staff to maintain high levels of performance and professional growth. Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, effective, and coordinated patient care. Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure optimal patient outcomes and efficient unit operations. Monitor patient care outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives. Promote a culture of safety, respect, and excellence in maternal care. Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and development of departmental goals and objectives. Serve as a liaison between staff, hospital leadership, and other departments. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing; OR
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a commitment to obtain BSN within two years of date of hire. Licensure: Current
Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license
required upon hire. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire. Experience: Minimum
3 years of recent experience
in a Labor and Delivery or related clinical nursing area. Prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred. Must meet all requirements and qualifications of a Registered Nurse. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) or Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML). Masters Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
