Position Summary: The Technician I: IT provides technical assistance in person, via telephone, or remotely to computer system users. The Technician receives problem requests from users and promptly diagnoses and troubleshoots problems in hardware, software, and networking. The position performs general technical support throughout PSMC, which may include field and remote site assignments to diagnose and resolve problem calls related to hardware and software. This position may also perform installations, upgrades and backups of software and hardware applications. The employee works on assignments that are routine in nature. This position requires a general knowledge of software, hardware, and PC operating systems. Occasional remote work possible. Why Join PSMC? Base Compensation Range: $18.00 - $22.38 hourly, based on 0 to 11 years of relevant experience. "Relevant experience" means relevant to the employee's responsibilities set forth in the job description as determined by the HR Manager, CAO, applicable department manager/director and applicable senior leader. Job Type: Full-time Shift Type: Day Anticipated End Date for Posting: August 31, 2025. Education/Training: Check ALL that Apply: Associate's Degree in computer science, electronics or equivalent experience is desired but not required. Minimum of two (2) years experience in IT is required. Current AHA BLS certification (Heart Saver) required. Proven ability to manage complex projects is required. Must have the ability to define problems, collect data and provide reports. Advanced computer skills are required. Demonstrates ability to read, write, and clearly express one's self in English 100% of the time. Additional languages are desired but not required. Must demonstrate the ability to actively listen; giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting. Demonstrates ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken work, to impart oral information to others or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly. Work Environment: Work is performed in a hospital / office setting with exposure to work stress, environmental stress and frequent interruptions; noise level is moderate; frequent daily communications, on a daily basis, with patients, employees, vendors and/or the general public.
