Missionary Assistant Program
Since 1979, we have been committed to serving the "least of these" in Asia and Africa, often in places where no one else is serving, so they can experience the love of God for the first time. GFA supports national workers serving as the hands and feet of Christ in four main ways. Sponsoring national missionaries to minister to people's needs, sponsoring children, investing in community development and helping families in need of care or during disasters. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Ministry Apprenticeship Program. In this program you will provide administrative support to our Partner Development team, as well as be immersed in our Christ-centered community that is passionate about missions. This program will give you an opportunity to live on mission, and perfect your skills for the glory of God. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks, including managing department campaigns/projects, managing calendars, preparing documents, and providing general office support. Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support for Partner Development Director and other staff members as needed. Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in various databases and spreadsheets including OneNote, Indigo, SharePoint, and Excel. Communicate with Partner Development Leader and other Department Leaders involved in assigned projects. Provide back-up support for other administrative staff members as needed Manage and maintain calendars, scheduling appointments and meetings Develop and implement effective filing systems. Requirements:
Have a close and growing relationship as a disciple of Jesus Christ High School diploma or equivalent required 2-3 years of experience in an administrative role Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills Ability to work independently within minimal supervision and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred.
