ERM is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented
Managing Technical Consultant, Environmental Toxicologist, and Risk Assessor
to join our growing Risk Assessment team in
Austin, TX . The successful candidate will work on ecological risk assessments and projects related to oil and gas exploration in Gulf Coast wetland habitats, reporting to project managers and partners. This position is based in our
Austin, TX
office, with consideration for candidates in Houston, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, or Dallas, depending on qualifications. Responsibilities
Support ecological risk assessments and site investigations. Manage, query, review, and analyze large chemical and biological datasets. Conduct literature searches and reviews on toxicological and biological risk assessment topics. Prepare work plans, figures, and technical reports. Collaborate with project teams, primarily following directions from Task and Project Managers. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in toxicology, environmental toxicology, chemistry, public health, ecology, or related field, with a minimum GPA of 3.0; advanced degrees preferred. 4-5 years of relevant experience, consulting experience preferred. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety protocols. Effective communication and organizational skills; experience with technical data and report writing is a plus. Proficiency in managing and analyzing large datasets using MS Excel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle, due to travel requirements. Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
