The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects. The role involves planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large projects. Technical support includes participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. You will also develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents in the Prolog database, prepare material status reports, process requests for information, and manage meeting minutes.
Location You can be located anywhere in the US, provided you are highly willing to travel to client projects on a long-term basis.
Responsibilities
Project Execution:
Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements, support construction schedules, and provide technical support including planning, design interpretation, construction methods, conflict resolution, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. Develop and administer project engineering procedures and documents.
Resource Management:
Manage project engineering and related personnel, including subcontractor planning and administration. Coordinate with onsite departments to resolve issues, ensure quality, and support project schedules.
Risk Management:
Represent the company during meetings with A/E, clients, and project management.
Technical Support:
Serve as a key technical person on projects, potentially responsible for small to medium-sized projects.
Qualifications To qualify, you must have:
A 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
At least 3 years of similar construction engineering experience.
Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, and an understanding of interdependent functional units.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Excellent communication and organizational skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Technical knowledge of construction and engineering processes, procurement, project controls, and contract management.
Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
Ability to adapt in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
