Network Administrator, SME . This role supports a DoD organization, US AR EUR - AF, and their Mission Partner at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. The position requires OCONUS travel. Responsibilities: Support, configure, maintain, and upgrade EMITS 2 networks and servers. Lead installations and integrations of new hardware and applications. Maintain infrastructure baseline and communicate with vendors about improvements. Assess emerging policies and technologies for applicability to improve security, efficiency, and resiliency. Resolve incidents, ensure network performance, and support disaster recovery. Administer third-party applications. Ensure cybersecurity compliance with USAREUR-AF and MP directives. Monitor network performance and evaluate for weaknesses. Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords. Resolve user-reported problems and support network policies. Design system requirements and provide research and recommendations. Participate in meetings on new technologies and modernization projects. Mentor other network administrators. Possess expertise on complex assignments, establish project goals, and possibly supervise others. Qualifications: Required: Adjudicated Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. BA/BS + 13 years of experience. Certifications: 8140 - CCNA, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, CCSP, GCED, GCIH. Expertise in supporting, configuring, troubleshooting, and upgrading networks and servers, especially in military environments. Knowledge of complex network systems, cybersecurity, and server administration. Experience with ISP connections and vendor communication. Proficiency in resolving critical issues, designing solutions, and evaluating network performance. Leadership in mentoring and supervising team members. Effective communication with vendors and participation in technology discussions. Desired: CCNA certification.
